Sixth edition of Extra Lucca, the lounge of quality artisan EVOoil, conceived and curated by the "Maestrod'olio" Fausto Borella.
This year again the rooms of Palazzo Ducale will host the market exhibition with 50 Italian producers of great quality EVO oil, presentation of books, meetings, demonstrations of chefs, pastry chefs, nutritionists and a very special food and wine tour, open to experts, enthusiasts, neophytes but also to the children.
An opportunity for all enthusiasts and experts in the sector to know and understand what are the excellence just crushed and the best production of the current year.
The market exhibition
In the frescoed rooms of the palazzo Ducale you will be able to discover and taste the best "green" oils, or just franti, coming from all the regions, with the possibility to meet the producers.
Extra Lucca Food
An ExtraFood area will be set up in the Loggia dell'Amannati, with food stands of some of the most famous Italian artisans, who will present their products to the public to taste on the spot or to buy.
The awarding of the Master Oil Crowns
Friday, February 16th at 8:00 pm in the Teatro di San Girolamo, awards ceremony of the Crowns of Oil and presentation of the new guide Terred'Olio 2018.
This year the new bronze and copper Crown designed especially for the occasion by the Tuscan sculptor Andrea Roggi, known for his sensitivity to the themes of nature and the earth, will reward the quality of the best companies in the volume.
The large kitchen
Saturday 17 - 11:00 am to 15:00 and 17:00 - Cooking show: moments of meeting and interaction with some of the best national and international chefs.
Giorgione will present his new book "Giorgione orto e cucina 3" and will demonstrate how to prepare raw products with oil of excellence.
At 3:00 pm Gennaro Nasti, world-renowned "pizzaiolo", will reveal the secrets of making the best Neapolitan pizza.
The great tastings
Sunday, in the Ademollo room, tasting open to the public. Experts in tasting great champagnes, great oils and great wines will conduct tastings.
at 12:00, the famous champagnist Samuel Cogliati will lead an exclusive tasting of French champagne, an extraordinary opportunity to discover a great selection of precious bubbles through storytelling and tasting.
at 3:00 pm Fausto Borella, together with two of the most important international oil tasters, Fiammetta Nizzi Grifi and Sonia Donati, will guide the tasting of the best Italian extra-virgin oils.
at 17:00 exclusive for extraLucca, anticipation of the best wines to be presented in the spring in the Anteprima Vini della Costa Toscana.
