New edition for the review 'Cribs in Chapels of Town and Country Palaces', with different productions that interpret the significant event of the Nativity in Palaces and Chapels of Historical Houses from the historic center of Lucca to the hills of Montecarlo and Capannori. An opportunity to discover the nativity and the widespread heritage in the area and get to know the historic center of Lucca and the Christmas hills in Lucca. From the weekend of the Immaculate in the days of Saturday-Sunday and holidays to the Epiphany, the route runs from the city to the hills.

In Lucca, for the first time at Palazzo Mansi, an ancient Lucchese Nativity is set up in the Cappellina, complete with characters from the Neapolitan nativity scene, which will be visible during the visit to the National Museum collections every day from Tuesday to Saturday. In the Cappellina del Palazzo will be exhibited an ancient crib with statues, dating from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, made of wood, paper mache and with silk dresses. This small exhibition closes the celebrations of 2017 for the 40th anniversary of the inauguration of the National Museum of Palazzo Mansi and wants to be a tribute to the city of Lucca. The Palazzo Mansi crib can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:30 to 19:30, last admission at 19:00, admission included in the Museum ticket.

At Palazzo Bernardini a new and unusual interpretation of the Nativity curated by architect Alessandro Sesti privileges the theme of light and the garden, will be open on 18 December.

In the Chapel of the Fortress of Montecarlo, a family arrangement fits into the frame of the frescoes.

In Camigliano (Capannori) precious plaster statues make up the installation at the Santini Chapel of the Villa di Camigliano (Torrigiani), where the hut dominates the scene, rebuilt with trunks of the gardens of the Villas and old fabrics with which Maria Vittoria Giurlani "Cicci" set up the private space of the Chapel next to the large frescoed hall, while in the Sacristy, a video illustrates the realization of the statues of Arte Barsanti, which Simone Fiori generously offered for the exhibition.

Continuing to the nearby Villa Lazzareschi, the staging is by the School of Camigliano, under the care of the teacher Amedeo Paolo Felloni.
Going back to Petrognano, to the Villa Gambaro, the nativity scene in the hall is a layout made of paper pesta dating back to the 40s. Continuing towards San Gennaro, after reaching the Pieve that covers the angel announcing the symbol of the event, at Palazzo Boccella the preparation in marzipan and chocolate is taken care of by the students of MADE, who offer hot chocolate and sweets to visitors, ready to continue towards the Palazzo Goodwill, where the crib is in the natural caves of the cellars.

An appointment not to be missed, until January 7th to rediscover art, culture and craftsmanship on the route indicated in the program with specific days and times for each place, including Pievi and Churches, with their addresses and contacts, inserted on the path to relive the great event of the Nativity in a visit for young and old with lots of curiosity and joy.
