At the Grand Ducal Stables of Seravezza are exposed the works of the students of the Moscow State Academy - MAXY who participated at the "VIII Award Ugo Guidi 2017". The works consisting for each artist in the graphic reproduction of one of Maestro Guidi's works, will be exhibited together with Guidi's originals to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of his death.

The exhibition, open until January 7, 2018, aims to create a comparison between the actuality of the works of young Russian students and the art of Ugo Guidi and some of his contemporary masters. A generational parallel that breaks down temporal and aesthetic distance and supports a dialogue between the exposed works. An exhibition to be read, as the title suggests, in a persepective of various connections between Ugo Guidi and his art: as a teacher and pupil, in the past and the present, as a man and his territory.

On the occasion of the vernissage, on Thursday 7 December at 4.30 pm, the ceremony will be held to award the 8th Ugo Guidi Prize, awarded to the young Russian artist Daria Mantsereva by the jury composed by the journalist Isotta Boccassini, the head of the Guidi Vittorio Guidi Museum, the artist and teacher of the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara Monia Michelotti, by the art critic Massimo Pasqualone, by the artist Domenico Monteforte and the gallerist Daliano Ribani.
