dal 29-9-2017 al 7-1-2018
At the Fondazione Ragghianti opens on September 29 an exhibition dedicated to Mario Nigro, a painter born exactly one hundred years ago in Pistoia and passedo over in Livorno in 1992.
Nigro was a protagonist of the Italian art and of its civil rebirth starting from the second post-war period. His abstract and personal works combine structure and color, rigor and inventiveness. The aim of the exhibition, curated by Paolo Bolpagni and Francesca Pola, is to retrace the entire creative path of the artist through his masterpieces and major moments of turn, presented in dialogue with artists of the international context such as Max Bill, Francois Morellet, Heinz Marc, Sol Le Witt, Roman Opalka, Fred Sandback and Niele Toroni.
