The Festival of Political Satire with its multimedia activities (exhibitions, cabaret, video projections, meetings and publishing activities), culminating each year in September, with the award "Political Satire", promotes the study and diffusion of satire in all its meanings.
The winners of the different cathegories in which the Prize "Political Satire" is divided, are elected by a Jury, made up of experts and journalists from the most important national newspapers.
The event - created in 1973 - is still unique in Europe for the study and diffusion of satire in all its meanings. The Festival is active throughout the year with an own Documentary Centre, organizing exhibitions which are exported in various towns both in Italy and abroad, including Paris, London, Warsaw, Sofia, Bergamo, Verona, Parma, Rome and Florence.
Presenter of the of the award giving ceremony will be Serena Dandini, host of TV satyirical programs and member of the jury together with Pino Corrias, Filippo Ceccarelli, Beppe Cottafavi, Massimo Gramellini, Bruno Manfellotto, Giovanni Nardi, Cinzia Bibolotti, Franco Calotti, Roberto Bernabò.
